Kids Day Out

Elk City UMC's Kids Day Out and Kids Day Out Plus is an early learning program for ages 1-4 in a loving, Christian environment. The KDO staff prepares the littles for school readiness with fun learning centers, hands-on activities, lots of creative play and community-involved education, such as fire safety with our local fire department and chapel with our pastor.


KDO and KDO Plus offer a three-day option T-Th, or a five-day option M-F. All classes meet from 8:30 a.m. to 2:20 p.m. Kids Day Out follows the Elk City Public Schools calendar for August through May, plus a summer session.


Children must be walking to enter the program and must not turn 4 before September 1st of the upcoming school year. If you have any questions regarding age, please contact KDO Director Rachel Smith at 580-225-0262.


KDO and KDO Plus will be open year-round and will follow Elk City Public Schools schedule for closings during the Christmas, Thanksgiving and Spring Break holidays.


KDO and KDO Plus will follow Elk City Public Schools for inclement weather closings. Parents will also be notified.


The cost for the three-day option is $275 per month. The cost for the five-day option is $425. Kids Day Out and Kids Day Out Plus tuition is due on the tenth day of each month. A $10 late fee will be added to the month's tuition after the tenth day of the month. Kids Day Out and Kids Day Out Plus will not accept payments on a day-by-day basis. You are required to pay for the days in which your child is enrolled, not just the days your child is present. Payment for days missed is required in order to hold your child's spot in the program. Payments that are more than two weeks overdue may cause your child to be removed from the program.

***A one-time enrollment fee of $60 will be assessed to hold your child's space in KDO and KDO Plus. This fee is non-refundable.


Parents/guardians are asked to send lunch and a drink with their child. Please do not send lunches or drinks that must be heated or refrigerated.


Each day after lunch children will have "rest time." Please send a nap mat or small blanket for your child to use. For health reasons, mats and blankets will be sent home after one week to be cleaned.


If all spots are filled, a waiting list is available. Please contact the church office at 580-225-0262 to place your child on the waiting list.
